ADVANCED HEMP, BOXABL AND NURO WILL BRING JOBS TO REGION
LAS VEGAS—Three companies were approved for state incentives to relocate to or expand in Southern Nevada with the assistance of Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (LVGEA). With approval by the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) board of directors, the following companies will bring an estimated 560 regional jobs in the next five years: Advanced Hemp, Boxabl and Nuro.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these innovative companies to Southern Nevada,” said Jonas Peterson, President and CEO of LVGEA. “After a challenging year for our region, these companies will create jobs for many and help diversify the Southern Nevada economy.”
Advanced Hemp, Inc. — 400 jobs, $24.91 average wage
Advanced Hemp produces premium hydroponics and traditional horticultural products. The company’s high-tech, modern and affordable products help farmers improve crop yields domestically and in third-world countries. The company’s research and development team conducts innovative research on hydroponic technologies for the indoor grower. Advanced Hemp will establish a facility in the City of North Las Vegas.
Boxabl Incorporated — 100 jobs, $28.59 average wage
Nevada-based Boxabl is a modular construction company that supplies Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) across the US. The company’s standardized ADUs create more affordable housing solutions by reducing build time and construction costs. The modular units are easily portable and can connect and stack to build different style homes. Boxabl will expand its Las Vegas facility.

Nuro, Inc. — 60 jobs, $28.80 average wage
Nuro is a robotics company that develops self-driving vehicles made for delivering local goods of all kinds. The company was founded in 2016 and made its first driverless delivery to the public in 2018. Since, Nuro has been named the #1 Most Promising AI company in the US by Forbes, the Consumer Technology Association’s start-up of the year 2020, and a 2020 top start-up by LinkedIn. The company will establish a new autonomous vehicle testing site in Las Vegas.
